Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 70s. The money she earned came from a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her income. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance in comparison to her peers. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox performed flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. It was here that she met Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her solo debut album Diva and it was released around 1992. The album was a massive success as well as selling and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I Letting You Go... is the soundtrack to her exhibit of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, with an album titled Diva. It included a number of well-known songs, including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and the song Why. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of some songs, including No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include six studio albums solo and a compilation. |
